finally a word

well i have to admit it - china was a sweet surprise... found so many unexpected things and such wonderful people...
shanghai is an amazing experience- 16 mil. inhab., dinamic, rapidly changing, so unexpected east meets west kind of environment.
the people are so nice, polite and welcoming, i've never felt so safe in a foreign country before! of course urban youngsters are all so trendy and accesorized, just like anywhere else, even though average salaries there are around 1000 yuan = 100€ ! But, my dear girl friends - there is a shopping paradise like nowhere else, and it's called "market of the fake" - hehe!
funny thing- we saw at least one wedding a day because according to the chinese horoscope this year is fortunate for getting married!
the food is so much better than any chinese restaurant in europe! there are so many kinds of vegetables and fish that can't be found anywhere else, and there's the whole culture of food preparation. No need to mention how delicious it is (and no, we had no dogs or cats in our plates!)
We enjoyed our stay at Tongji Uni, which has a beautiful campus and a great school of architecture, where we spent most of our days (and nights!) - in that nice cafetteria actually!
We visited Nanjing city, and a historic water city... but pictures tell the story much better, so enjoy!
